Boring Basics

Let’s be honest... sticking to the basics doesn’t exactly sound sexy, does it?
There’s no Netflix documentary called
“The Guy Who Ate Protein and Walked Daily”
But do you know what does work?
That. Exact. Thing.
The unsexy stuff. The basics. Done consistently. Then gradually cranked up.
We’re talking:
Getting your steps in
Eating mostly whole foods
Getting enough sleep
Training a few times a week
Not surviving on caffeine and chaos (guilty... sometimes)
None of this will break the internet. But do it for 4 weeks, and people will start asking what you're doing.
Then—add progression.
That might mean:
Increasing your weights at the gym
Swapping out a snack for something with more protein
Adding a 10-minute jog to your walk
Learning what portion sizes actually look like (yes, unfortunately, a “spoonful” of peanut butter doesn’t mean the big one you use for soup)
It’s like learning to drive. You start with steering and not panicking.
THEN you try parallel parking.
Master the basics first. Add spice later.
That’s how real results (and sanity) are made.
